At House of Roesdahl Ltd, we specialize in creating period-accurate costumes to a high quality, supporting film, theatre and other performers. Each garment is handmade with care, ensuring quality and costs are met without compromising historical integrity.
Period accuracy
We understand that techniques, materials and cut make each period throughout history unique. And we know how important these elements can be in creating the characters in every story.
All our staff are encouraged to research and develop specialist skills, replicate techniques and understand historic and social context, so we can better assist our clients in developing the right looks.
Recycling fabrics
At House of Roesdahl we are committed to reducing waste and help making the entertainment industry more sustainable.
We have a large stock of deadstock fabrics, rescued from previous productions, fashion overflow or offcuts.
All materials we acquire, whether garments or materials will be repurposed, from unused rolls right down to the smallest rags from cutting!
Hires
Make an appointment to come explore our costumes for hire.
We create beautiful, historically accurate garments from deadstock and other leftover fabrics, as well as acquire costumes from productions that no longer use them, ensuring they don't go to waste.
Our wonderful selection of period costumes ranges from the middle ages to the 1930s
